THE POSITION
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for championing organizational employee training and development initiatives, seasonal staff progression and supporting production activities.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Live our Core Values
• Develop or transfer training content in Alchemy (Learning Management System)
• Facilitate training programs for all seasonal and fulltime staff (outsourced and/or in-house)
• Work with production employees to determine training needs and ensure proper training is provided.
• Support and report training needs, timelines, plans and progress tracking
• Conduct orientation/induction sessions for new hires
• Identify and report Cross-training opportunities (Seasonal and Full Time production staff)
• Work with the production employees on understanding their progression levels
• Work with the temp agency onsite coordinators on inducting and onboarding seasonal staff
• Work with the temp agencies to ensure seasonal staff increases are applied
• Provide support to the Supervisors and Production office as required, including the Time & Attendance Management system
• Maintain the training database and training records
• Partner with the Operations team for training instruction designs
• Research, and implement new training strategies
• Support special projects and tasks as assigned
• Accountable for seeking continuous improvement to our programs and procedures
• Participate in the Joint & Health committee
• Follow company policies and procedures

IDEAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Post-secondary education
• 2 years’ experience in Training role
• Experience with Learning Management Systems,
• Proficient in MS Office
• Plant floor experience
• Must have excellent Interpersonal Skills to work in a fast paced team environment with a high sense of urgency
• Experience with Time and Attendance systems
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

THE POSITION
Reporting directly to the Director of Retail Sales, this position is responsible to establish, retain and grow our co-manufacturing channel.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Identify and develop new Co-Man accounts
• Growth and maintenance of Co-Man Channel sales
• Responsible for Co-Man annual volume and fixed budgets
• Sustainable achievement of the planned SBU targets and initiatives
• Development of account plans
• Execution of account plans
• Trade spending/cost management as applicable
• Provide quarterly competitive overviews with focus on new areas of development
• Develop and maintain high and wide customer relationships
• Develop and drive aligned sales strategy, pricing and product execution
• Monthly sales forecast and commentary relative to key activities and gap to established targets
• Provide regular updated customer forecast for Production Planning purposes
• Achieve sales budgets
• Coverage for planned and unplanned absences which could compromise our policies, procedures and programs

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
• University or College level graduate
• Strong understanding of the food industry with 5+ years of Senior Sales and Sales Management Experience
• Strategic Account Management and Sales Training Experience
• Previous Production and/or Product Development or R&D experience
• Project management accreditation and experience
• Willingness and ability to be present on the product floor
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to communicate at the executive level
• Results driven, with strong interpersonal skills and business acumen

THE POSITION
Reporting to the Director-Manufacturing, the Maintenance Manager will lead the implementation of a seamless maintenance and reliability strategy to drive and achieve production efficiencies at both our plants.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for the management, development and support of maintenance employees
• Ensure proper equipment, premise and preventative maintenance

• Proactively reduce equipment downtime
• Production equipment enhancements/upgrades for cost containment, reliability and product quality
• Provide effective Capital Budget Support

• Create maintenance strategy aligned with plant operations strategy

• SQF and HACCP Accountabilities
• Continuous improvement in company programs, policies and procedures

IDEAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 5 years’ related experience.
• Strong aptitude in PLC / Electronic diagnostics
• Certified Tradesperson
• Experience in food operations
• Project management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer literacy – MS Office – CAD –CAM
• Experience with ERP systems or MP2

THE POSITION
This position reports to the Director-Engineering & Product Development and is responsible for the development and commercialization of new products, and provides support and executes on core Cardinal products.

• Provide technical support to Sales, Marketing and Customers
• Participate in team projects and work collaboratively with all stakeholders

• Ensure that all products are manufactured in accordance with company specifications

IDEAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years experience in product development
• B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology
• Time management and organizational skills.

• Experienced at new product development from concept right through to launch.
• Communication skills – written and verbal
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP Principles and GFSI awareness/understanding.

THE POSITION
Reporting to the Director-Engineering, this position is responsible for providing administrative and product development support to the Product Development team.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Work with the Product Development team in organizing and supporting project documentation
• Maintain projects using Microsoft Project software
• Manage the critical path and product development process to deliver products smoothly and on schedule
• Manage and compile various team reports
• Gather and coordinate monthly expense and capital spending needed to support closing the month reports
• Track R&D projects (time, materials, labour etc.)
• Work with the Production Development Team in managing product specification for development
• Assist with technical writing, nutritional calculations, reports, and presentation preparation
• Provide support for annual audits and compliance requirements
• Assist with the day to day running of the product development process

• Safety, Quality and Productivity (in this order)

IDEAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years Product development or detailed administrative role
• Post-secondary education in a business-related field
• General knowledge of retail and food service industries
• Familiar with regulatory standards
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Microsoft Office software applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines
